Cutting board

Vegetables are finely chopped on a chopping board with a chopping knife. It consists of a rectangular or trapezoidal shelf with three raised edges, so that the cut food stays in place.

In the modern kitchen, this chopping board has often been replaced by a chopping board without raised edges.
