The MOT’s Reproduction Rights – General conditions

The reproduction of documents and illustrations from the MOT collection is subject to the following conditions:

  1. For private use
    • The legislation on authors’ rights does not apply to use for private purposes, as in the case of an unpublished thesis
    • every illustration should be clearly and legibly marked ‘© het MOT, Grimbergen’.
  2. For publication for educational and/or academic purposes, and therefore not for commercial purposes:
    • submit a request for permission to reproduce, using the appropriate application form. Exemption from reproduction rights can be granted on the basis of its educational and/or academic character.
    • every illustration should be clearly and legibly marked ‘© het MOT Grimbergen
    • a reference copy should be supplied in each language of the publication. An exception is allowed for exhibition panels or web pages.
  3. For commercial use:
    • submit a request for permission to reproduce, using the appropriate application form.A fee for reproduction rights of 50.00 euro per illustration reproduced must be paid after receipt of the invoice.
    • Application forms should be sent by post to the following address: Het MOT, Guldendal 20, 1850 Grimbergen, or via email .

The illustrations in the "RCB Repertorium van de Belgische Handelscatalogi" are subject to the MOT’s reproduction rights. If you want to publish this illustrative material, please apply by letter or via e-mail , making use of this application form.
