Building a half-timbered workshop experiment

In 2022, we will embark on an ambitious, multi-year experiment with the construction of a contemporary half-timbered workshop behind the Guldendal. In this wooden building old and new building techniques are combined in an innovative way. In doing so, we pay attention to the principles of circular construction and ecology, including the integration of a green roof. All very relevant and innovative.

We submitted the planning application at the end of 2021. During construction, we will map out all construction phases in detail and make them accessible on this page. The recording and promotion of this project is realized with the support of the province of Flemish Brabant.
