"Through the trees" is a magical family event in and around the Strombeek cultural centre for children aged 3 to 10 with their (grand)parents. An eco-adventure with our woods, gardens and their inhabitants in a central role.

2019: cutting a kitchen spatula

The MOT teaches you to cut safely with a knife in 'green' or fresh wood. The rough form is finished with a wood rasp and file. The finished spatula is treated with vegetable oil so it is ready to be used at home.

This year we were designing and building a bicycle with leftovers of iron, bottle caps and pieces of electrical wire. 

2017: Binding your own broom

Binding brooms is good fun, but always remember: "New brooms sweep clean, but old brooms know the dirty corners best!"
