Scaffolding and stone

An exhibition about the work of the stonemason and the 600 year history of the Prince's Castle

Scaffolding and stone primarily tells the story of the stonemason. How did he make an ashlar out of a rough block of natural stone? Tools illustrate the way of the stone from the quarry to the construction site. The keep of the Prince's Castle is the ideal location to tell this story, after all, it is covered with natural stone from head to toe! In this monumental building stonemasons have left many traces to discover.
