description
The ordinary span saw comes in various sizes: from 35 to 120 cm. Depending on its height and the shape of its teeth, it is used to cut large or small shelves and battens. Contrary to the rip saw, the wide (approx. 4-5 cm) blade of the span saw is fixed in the straight frame.
Nowadays there are also foldable models.
