Setting block

Setting block (1) of a diamond setter, who prepares the gem for the diamond cutter. He places the heated solder caps in it to attach the diamond each time in a suitable position.

Derived of the Dutch word 'verstelblok'. The equivalent English name of this tool is unknown.
