Welt cutter
The shoemaker trims the sole edge with a welt cutter after it has been sewn. The hand tool has a circular head with an oblique cut at the top and a thickness guide with a curled edge at the top. That edge ensures that no damage is made to the upper leather. The head is fixed in a wooden or hollow metal handle. [MOT]

In addition to the whetting anvil, the whetting hammer is part of the whetting utensils with which one sharpens the cut of the scythe or flemish scythe by hitting it thinly. In this work, the mower strikes the blade, always in the direction of the cut, causing the hammer to drop parallel to the blade and the edge. Can be distinguished from the sawset hammer, which is lighter and has a longer handle. [MOT]

However, the pliers should not touch the core and should provide the ability to remove the cut piece of tubing. There are several solutions and models of grippers. More technical information on this page in the dutch version. The wire stripper is sometimes combined with combination pliers. See also these crimping pliers and pliers for cutting and dismantling insulated tubes. [MOT].
